Chapter V: Forever

My Anakin grows more beautiful as the days go by. He has started to blossom recently, the seed that is our love has now grown into a beautiful flower of life. He's almost five whole months along now and both the Council and Healer Yvonne are quite pleased with his progress. I cherish every minute I spend with him, with our child, because I never know when I may be called to undertake an important mission. Which reminds me. The Senator has been ordered to stay here permanently or at least until the investigation has been solved and the assassin, or whomever it is trying to kill her, has been brought to justice. More guard duty.

Today I'm going to surprise Anakin and take him to a place that he has mentioned to me in recent times. It's a beautiful paradise of nothing but beaches, waterfalls and flowers. A little place called Tenchi, a small benevolent planet not too far from here. To the local villagers, the name means `angel." How appropriate. I hope to take him there after we visit Healer Yvonne for his bi-weekly exam. It's been somewhat hectic around the Temple lately and it's started to show on Anakin. But finally, we'll be able to enjoy some privacy, some time alone and to do all the wonderful things we've talked about recently. I'm looking very forward to this.

Obi-Wan ended his journal entry and returned the old-fashioned book to its desk drawer in his room. He recently discovered, through a recommendation by Healer Yvonne, that he keep a journal of sorts and write in it first thing in the morning everyday. And other than Anakin himself, Obi-Wan's journal was the only other thing who knew just how much the Padawan meant to him. Sure, the Council knew of their love, but not in the way Anakin and Obi-Wan felt it. To them, it was deeper than words. In fact, words couldn't describe how they felt about one another. To them, it was something that could not be explained, only experienced.

The process of stripping down to his T-shirt and leggings was becoming second-nature to the expectant Padawan Skywalker. So common had it became, that Yvonne no longer needed to give Anakin instruction - he would just do it. As he lay there on the exam table with his shirt lifted up, Yvonne took her fingers to his belly and began to feel around. "My, you are coming along quite well, Ani. I see you've even started to show a little bit. And you've got that terrific and majestic aura of pregnancy flowing all around you - such a wonderful time it is for you right now! Everything feels all right from what I can tell. Anything hurt, like, when I press down in a certain area?"

Anakin smiled and shook his head. "No, it just tickles." he giggled cheerfully.

"Very good. All right, let's go ahead and have ourselves a peek at the little one shall we?"

Anakin closed his eyes as the warm gel splurged around the slight bulge of his belly. She had remembered his detesting of the cooler gel. And now, instead of feeling as though he just got electrocuted, Anakin felt like he was wrapped up in a comforting place, such as Obi- Wan's arms. With baited breath, the Master/Padawan pair watched as the real-time image of their child displayed in front of them.

"There; There's the little Jedi. Baby looks to be doing wonderful." Yvonne smiled as she indicated on the monitor.

"Look Ani...isn't that breath-taking? Force..." Obi-Wan asked in awe of the image displayed in front of his eyes. He couldn't believe what he was looking at. His baby. Anakin's baby. A gift from the Force itself.

Anakin squeezed his Master's hand and kissed it. "Sure is. It's beautiful. What about you, Yvonne? What do you think?"

She guided the transducer slightly off center to his naval. "Absolutely beautiful. And I've dealt with many pregnancies but none quite as beautiful as this; maybe due to the fact that this is my first time dealing with a pregnant young man." she laughed.

After a thorough examination, Healer Yvonne happily confirmed that Anakin and Obi-Wan would be having a boy and recommended they start thinking up names for the Jedi-to-be. "Also, Ani, if you haven't already, you should start to feel him moving around - it can be anything from kicks, acrobatics, and hiccups. At first, it might feel like small waves are rolling in your belly, or it can feel like little flutters. This is normal. And as time goes on and he gets stronger, you will really start to feel him . If you have sore ribs from his kicks, I suggest applying a heating pad to the area or asking Obi-Wan here to give you a massage."

Anakin looked up at Obi-Wan and couldn't help but to lick at his lips. The hands, those oh so wonderful and strong hands, massing him. The sheer thought of it all nearly made the young man stiffen with need. "I'll take the latter. He is my heating pad." he joked.

Yvonne giggled, her back turned to both Anakin and Obi-Wan while she wrote up a report of her findings this time around and scheduled another appointment. Then, turned to face them again. "And who could blame you Ani?" she laughed and winked at his blushing Master. "I can remember when Obi-Wan was just a boy; he had that childhood cuteness about him. He's certainly grown up to be quite the handsome one."

Obi-Wan, crossed between flattered and embarrassed, felt his face turn bright red. "I'm tickled pink." he humored.

"And his sense of humor is still keen as ever But, all joking aside, I've went ahead and scheduled your next appointment - two weeks from now. Next time I'll have to take a blood and urine sample just to make sure everything is fine with you Ani. Until then, continue to do what your doing enjoy yourself."

Obi-Wan and Anakin were en route to their three-day getaway spot. Anakin was comfortably sleeping in the back of the ship, still unaware as to exactly where his Master was taking him - the only thing he had told him was to "pack your bags. We're going somewhere for a little while." and before he knew it, they were rocketing out of the stratosphere of Coruscant and into the never-ending galaxy. Obi-Wan had taken piloting duties and noticed on a screen just below him that they were approaching the planet fast. It wouldn't be much longer now before they were truly alone for once.

Surprisingly, the rough ride of atmospheric re-entry didn't wake Anakin like Obi-Wan had feared prior to making planetfall. The ship landed deep within a forest canopy; a beautiful waterfall was nearby, as was one of the many villages of the planet. The warm sun shined overhead. Now was as good a time as any to wake the young man. He strode back to the room where Anakin was sleeping and knelt down next to his bunk. "Ani. Ani, we're here." he whispered, hand on his arm. Anakin's blue eyes fluttered open, a little glazed over from heavy sleep, as he came to sit up in his bunk, rub at his belly, and kiss his Master on the lips.

"Are we here? Wherever here is." he asked.

"Yes we are, Padawan. I want you to close your eyes for me. I lead you around. Come, my Ani."

Anakin closed his eyes tight and stood. Obi-Wan took one of the teen's hands in his and slowly lead him around the belly of the transport ship until they were just outside the door, looking at the nearby waterfall. This was it. Obi-Wan could hardly wait to see the look on Anakin's face once he opened his eyes. "All right Anakin...open your eyes."

He opened his eyes and gasped, his breath taken away by the wonderful scenery he seen only in dreams. His heart filled with so much joy that he thought he'd jump a good five feet off the ground. He turned on his heals, wide-eyed, and gave Obi-Wan the biggest hug he could muster and kissed him heartily on the lips. "It's beautiful Obi-Wan! How did you know?" he asked enthusiastically. A deeper, more profound kiss followed.

"I'm so glad you love it, Anakin. How did I know? Padawan, you've only been mentioning this place in your sleep. I figured it was time that we come here. I wanted to surprise you; and judging by your reaction, I can say I succeeded in doing so."

"Definitely! But..." Anakin looked around, seeing nothing but forest for as far as his eyes could see. "Where will we be staying Master?"

"Don't worry Anakin. The village nearby has been informed of our arrival - they will be providing accommodations for us. Come along, my dear Padawan, let's get going; they are expecting us."

The village of Draconia was inhabited by a rather peaceful and prosperous folk - the Draconians - and was one of the biggest villages on the planet. Relatively benevolent, the Draconians believed in more civilized ways to solve conflicts and other heated situations. Because of this knack for diplomacy, the Draconians were highly intelligent humanoid beings, very fluent and elegant in their speech and able to speak some of the best Basic anywhere. They welcomed nearly all forms of life into their village, believing that it was the bidding of their sacred deity of ancient lore and the only way they would fully achieve perfect harmony within themselves and each other. Only those with the Tanki, or Aura of Evil, were not allowed in the village; for if one with the Tanki entered, the Draconians believed he would bring about great pain and suffering to the village. The Draconians lived in huts made of trees, and other things they often referred to as the Gifts of Nature. And just outside the village was the mighty power and majestic beauty of Lake Laguna, a favorite place to go amongst the villagers. Some would go there to pray and worship while others would go there to meditate or simply just relax. The villagers prepared for the arrival of Obi-Wan and Anakin.

When they arrived, the Jedi Master and his apprentice were greeted by the entire village in a great welcoming ceremony of bowing and dancing. The welcoming of the Chosen One. Anakin had never seen such a grand display before - so much dancing, spinning, it was enough to make him smile wide in appreciation. When the dancing ritual finished, the village Elder came to greet the Chosen One and his Master.

"You bring us great peace, Chosen One and you, Guardian of the Chosen One - we welcome you to our village."

Obi-Wan and Anakin bowed in unison; Obi-Wan cleared his throat. "The Chosen One and I are honored to be here, Elder Oonpa. We are grateful for your kindness." He put his arms behind his back.

The Elder, dressed in an elegant tunic made from cloth and feathers, approached Anakin and placed his hand on the young man's tunics. Yes, he could feel it, the life force growing inside of him. It had grown stronger. The Elder closed his eyes and looked to be concentrating; at which point, Anakin started to get a little nervous. What could this stranger be doing to his unborn? "Fear not, Chosen One. Connected you are to this child, and to your Protector. That I can feel within you. Stronger this triangular bond becomes everyday." He repelled his hand away. "Please, right this way."

They were guided to their temporary home by two villagers.

Both Anakin and Obi-Wan had decided to take a little swim in the nearby crystal clear lake. It would be getting dark soon, which made the atmosphere of the moment even more beautiful as a million stars twinkled above. Stripping down to nothingness, they carefully inched into the lake until their bodies had gotten used to the water, and started to hold each other as they stayed afloat. They kissed passionately, bodies wet with the pure water, heat starting to build between the wetness and contact on one another. "So, how do you like it so far Padawan?" Obi-Wan asked as he leaned in to lick at Anakin's wet collar bone and graze it with his teeth. "I love it Master. But - ugh - I think I'm starting to love this more..." he replied, with Obi- Wan suckling at his neck and Adam's Apple with a ravenous passion that knew no bounds. It was then Obi-Wan swam with his lover in tow to the nearby land, picked the teenager up, and sat him down on the grassy surface, only to spread his legs and burn a trail of kisses from his knees to the sensitivity of his inner thighs.

"Mmm, as am I, my love. Let me love you, caress you with my mouth..." Obi-Wan breathed, his lips and tongue dangerously close to his Padawan's manhood. Anakin raised Obi-Wan's hands from the water to rest on his knees; his strong hands held Anakin's strong, muscled thighs, traced over the perfect curve and indentation of his hips and came to a final stop around Anakin's belly and lower back. "Let me love you..."

Anakin rested himself on the strength of his arms, spread his legs a little more, and tried to voice his own need, but the air was so thick with the smoke of this passion that he found it hard to speak. His throat tightened, his lungs expanding with a good breath. "Love me. Please, love me. Right now..." The teenager lurched forward, arms draping over Obi-Wan's naked and smooth back; his own hands now held Anakin protectively. Gaining some leverage, Obi-Wan licked and then slowly devoured the rock hard smoothness of his apprentice's sex. Eagerly, he fucked him with every part of his mouth, and every inch of his tongue, Anakin's beautiful and delicious taste invigorated his every taste bud until they were all but dead and smothered. Obi-Wan pushed Anakin further towards him, nearly swallowing the entirety of his impressive length. Anakin trembled in Kenobi's tantalizing mouth, felt his pelvis thrusting forth wanting Obi-Wan to receive all of him. And all of him he did devour, from base to tip and able to take no more. "Stars...Obi... More!" Anakin exclaimed, the level of his passion reaching a fever pitch.

Obi-Wan swallowed all of Anakin's warm seed. Sweet, just like him. He licked his lips and looked up at Anakin hunched over and breathing deeply, the sweat of afterglow running down his face. His mouth was open just enough to allow decent breathing, while his lips were parched of their moisture. Obi-Wan lifted the upper half of his body out of the water, resting his hands on either side of Anakin, and captured the young man's lips with his own, adding a little tongue as an extra incentive. They divorced afterwards. Their eyes glancing upon each other. Anakin came to caress the side of Obi-Wan's face while he lowered his head toward his lover's swollen belly; the Jedi Master kissed it, then rested his ear against it, hoping to hear something from the world beyond.

"Hey in there. It's Obi-Wan, your father - well, one of them anyway. Are you doing ok? How's the view in there?"

Anakin laughed. He had never seen - or remembered - his Master act like this before. His fingers combed through Obi-Wan's wet golden ginger locks. "If I had to guess, I'd say it was pretty dim in there." he giggled.

Obi-Wan kissed Anakin's knee. "Your probably right, Anakin. Likewise, Yvonne said it's important to talk to him; every little bit helps...So, do you want to go back now?" he asked.

Anakin nodded, saying he was tired. They put their robes and tunics back on and headed back to Draconia, their first night here quite the passionate one.

Anakin Skywalker was awakened in the middle of the night by a strange, unexplainable sensation. By the time he tried to hunt it down, it had already disappeared. Nothing but a phantom of the night. He woke up Obi-Wan and explained what he had felt. Or, at least tried his bvest to explain what it was he felt. "Where did you feel it?" Obi-Wan asked, scooting closer to his perplexed Padawan. He then placed one hand on Anakin's stomach, in the area his finger had indicated. Nothing. They waited some more...still nothing. Anakin groaned with discouragement; perhaps he was just imagining things. Then, "I just felt something Ani. Almost like a ripple...or a flutter..." They looked at each other, speechless and yet fully of aware, now, of what it was Anakin had felt. Their child, their son, making his presence known to each other them.

Anakin gasped. Another kick, this one stronger than the last. A small giggle escaped him then, as he continued to move his hands around his stomach. "I know your trying out your new legs but I have to get some sleep there, kiddo." he said aloud, thinking his baby could hear it. Obi-Wan mused. "Let him alone, Ani. Just...enjoy it." he snuggled against Anakin and kissed his shoulder. His arms found their way around Anakin's waist and together, they reclined slowly back down to their bed, opting to enjoy this new moment from the comfort for their bed.

I watch him as he sleeps peacefully. Quietly breathing, and at peace with our unborn. He made quite a flashy entrance last night. It was one of the most amazing things I ever felt. It felt like a ripple at first, but as I got used to it, it was more profound and in that moment, I felt as though we were truly connected to our son. Last night when we took a swim in the nearby lake I had an epiphany of sorts. Qui-Gon always told me to be happy, and not to drift on the past. And while I was in rough shape for years after his death, Anakin was always there to ease my mind. And for the first time in my life I now feel strong enough to move on...I want to spend my life with Anakin - Qui-Gon wishes it. But the Council...I fear they do not wish it and will tell us so. And a sacrifice I will not make. The Republic nor the Council want to admit it but, the number of Jedi Knights are dwindling - the Order needs all the Knights they can gain. But, no matter what, I will not change my mind about this. I will do what I must.

From behind him, Obi-Wan heard Anakin yawn and stretch his arms over his head, the cracking of his joints made the hairs on the back of Obi-Wan's neck stand up on end. He closed his journal and tucked it away underneath a tunic he had packed. Anakin rushed up from behind, wrapped his arms around his Master and shared the first kiss of the morning with him. "Not surprised to see you up so early Master." he chuckled. Obi-Wan tilted his head up and kissed the small cleft on Anakin's chin. "Yes well, I'm surprised to see you up so early - did you have a rough night?" Anakin unwrapped his arms from around Obi-Wan and lifted his shirt up to pat his belly. "The little one kept me up most of the night. Gee, I wonder where he got that from?" Master Kenobi inched closer to his lover's belly to kiss it. "Great," he said, "just what we need...another Anakin."

After breakfast, Master Obi-Wan and his apprentice decided to talk a long walk as a way of enjoying the beautiful scenery and the sparse quiet time they had together before having to go back to Coruscant. Fresh air, beautiful sunshine and a light breeze rustling through the trees, the intoxicating smells of a thousand exotic flowers...they were in Paradise. Everything was as perfect as the balance between them. And everything was going according to plan so far; Obi-Wan smiled. Yes, it was all coming together and all would come to a converging point at sundown.

They came to a place atop a grassy, flower-filled hill come late afternoon. In ancient Draconian lore, this place was considered sacred ground and called Heki, or Hill of Union. It was a great place of worship for many of the planet's inhabitants and was still used in the present day for everything from prayer, to meditation and betrothment. When Anakin and Obi-Wan reached the top, they were greeted to a breath-taking view of the entire planet - and a strange man dressed in a brown robe decorated with feathers, tusks and vibrant, colorful patterns.

"Our God has foreseen this blessed day, Master Kenobi." he said and bowed as his long graying beard danced in the wind.

Anakin cocked an eyebrow, curiosity pulling at his mind. But, he said nothing.

Obi-Wan also bowed in respect for the elder man. "As have I, Borock. I'd like you to meet the Chosen One and my Padawan, Anakin Skywalker."

Anakin, so used to showing his respect, bowed, even though he didn't have a clue who this man was standing before him. "Let us begin!" chimed the elder and approached the edge of the hill; Obi-Wan took Anakin's hands in his; they were now facing each other with the wind at their backs. Borock opened some sort of book just then, weathered from much use. He cleared his throat then started to read a passage:

Connected we are Within life's journey Two hearts Beating as one Two souls divided Marry in perfect harmony From sun to moon Moon to sun Forever connected We shall be...

"It is the wishing's of the Force and destiny itself that you, Obi- Wan Kenobi, and you, Anakin Skywalker, be joined on this day, and for eternity. From this day forward, connected you will be and together, will walk this path that has been placed before you."

It all became clear to Anakin suddenly; a lone tear streaking down his face. Obi-Wan had chosen him to be his partner in life. And from the inside of Obi-Wan's over-tunic came two gold and polished rings - commitment rings. The Jedi Master took hold of Anakin's left hand.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi, do you promise to forever be supportive and loyal, to be protective of, and to cherish your life partner, Anakin Skywalker, throughout this life and beyond?"

A sparkle as true as those words twinkled in Obi-Wan's eyes. "Forever." He eased the ring on to Anakin's finger.

"Anakin Skywalker, do you promise to forever be supportive and loyal, to be protective of, and to cherish your life partner, Obi-Wan Kenobi, throughout this life and beyond?"

The same spark twinkled in Anakin's eyes. "Forever." He slid the ring onto Obi-Wan's finger.

"I pronounce you partners in life. May the Force be with you."

Now sworn partners for life, Obi-Wan and Anakin shared an ardent kiss that would forever bind them together. Just as they broke away, the sun said good-bye to the world. Yes, everything had converged at sundown. Master and Padawan were now bonded...forever.
